Job Description

Responsible for the organization's local area network needs, including the installing, maintaining, and updating relevant hardware and software. Essential Job Duties
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for technical support inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals.
  • .Provide timely and effective resolution to technical problems while adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel or third-party vendors, as necessary.
  • Document necessary support interactions, including the nature of the problem and the steps taken to resolve it.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of end-user hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team to identify recurring issues and develop long-term solutions.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
  • Qualifications
  • Associate degree or high school diploma with some additional continuing education through certification program and some relevant experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CompTIA A+ certification is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and common business software.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are advantageous.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands and Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
