  • Utilize Network Management Systems (NMS) to oversee server health, bandwidth utilization, and application availability.
  • Identify anomalies, document incidents, assess severity, and initiate first-level troubleshooting.
  • Participate in major incident and priority outage bridges, including operational calls and status-focused management calls for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents.
  • Route unresolved, complex network or security issues to Tier 2/3 engineers or external vendors
  • Maintain knowledge bases, log tickets (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow), and generate reports on network health and performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN configurations, routing/switching protocols, firewalls, and server environments
  • NOCs operate 24/7/365, requiring engineers to work rotating shifts, nights, or weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with end users and team members
  • Problem-solving skills around analyzing issues, critical thinking, creativity, and finding solutions quickly
  • Collaborating with different teams to address complex issues
  • Time management skills to multitask and adhere to SLAs A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to HCL policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (some positions are eligible for unlimited PTO); and 10 paid holidays per year.
