Location:
- Albany, OH
Pay:
- $25.00 - $32.00/hr
- Work Environment
- On-site data center environment supporting fiber validation, auditing, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a rotating on-call schedule. During site turn-ups, technicians may work 10-hour days, 6 days per week.

- About the Role
- We are seeking experienced Audit Technicians to support fiber validation, auditing, and troubleshooting activities within a data center environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform fiber audit activities, including verification and validation of infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and identify connectivity and configuration issues
- Validate inventory, connectivity, and documentation accuracy across network assets
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve discrepancies
- Document findings, audit results, and recommendations
- Review technical design and network documentation for accuracy
- Assist with fiber and copper infrastructure testing and validation
- Support network turn-up and troubleshooting efforts
- Required Skills & Experience
- Experience performing fiber testing and validation
- Hands-on Layer 1 network troubleshooting experience
- Strong understanding of telecom and network infrastructure concepts
- Experience reviewing technical design documentation
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with cable installation, fiber, and copper infrastructure
- Top Skills -
Must Haves:
- OTDR testing experience
- Fluke meter testing experience
- Layer 1 troubleshooting
- Strong network fundamentals
- Fiber validation and auditing
- Cat5/Cat6 cabling experience
- Cable installation experience
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Fiber splicing experience
- Data center experience
- ISP or telecom industry experience
- Enterprise network environment experience
- Circuit mapping and documentation experience
- Network inventory validation experience
