Job Description
Job Summary The IT Field Technician is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support across restaurant locations. This role ensures the reliability, security, and functionality of all technology systems critical to restaurant operations, including POS systems, networking equipment and computer equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and able to work effectively in fast-paced restaurant environments. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot POS systems, computers, printers, tablets, and other IT equipment Provide on-site and remote technical support for restaurant staff and management Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues in a timely manner Support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and cabling Document issues, resolutions, and equipment inventory accurately Coordinate with POS support team for repairs, replacements, and escalated issues Provide same- day or next- day response for critical outages Be available for after-hours or emergency support as needed Ensure system security by following IT policies, and support compliance requirements Qualifications Working knowledge of POS systems, Windows operating systems, basic networking, and peripheral devices Familiarity with cabling, hardware installation, and troubleshooting best practices Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across locations Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users Requirements Experience in IT support, field services, or help desk roles a plus, will train High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred Reliable transportation along with a valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between restaurant locations Ability to lift and carry IT equipment (up to 50lbs) Flexible schedule, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
