About the role As an Onsite IT Support Technician , you'll play a crucial role in resolving technical issues, installing, and configuring hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems on-site. Utilizing your technical expertise, you'll provide first-level technical information systems support to the university community, resolving routine technical problems, and ensuring seamless operation of IT initiatives. We're seeking a motivated and dependable technician who's ready to jump in, solve problems, and represent IT Voice both virtually and in-person when needed. What you'll do Provide desk-side support for hardware and software issues, including PCs and peripherals. Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT systems and applications. Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and networks on-site. Collaborate with the IT Voice technical support team to escalate and resolve complex issues. Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations. Adhere to IT Voice's core values of Focus on others, own it, work smart, and do the right thing. Provide desk-side support for hardware and software issues, including PCs and peripherals. Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT systems and applications. Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and networks on-site. Collaborate with the IT Voice technical support team to escalate and resolve complex issues. Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations. Qualifications High School degree or equivalency required. Approved to work in the US with a valid driver's license. Basic PC and peripheral experience required. Familiarity with MS365 is favorable. Punctual, courteous, and professional demeanor required. 1-2 years of support experience and willingness to learn are favorable. Dependable transportation to the customer site is required. Must be located in the Housto, TX area due to the onsite engagement. The ability to get stuff done (there's no room on our ship for slackers) Passion for Technology (duh!) Heart to always do the right thing and admit mistakes (they will happen and its ok) Good communication skills (willing to give and receive constructive feedback)
