Job Description:

Our client is building next-generation engineering and simulation software focused on interactive 3D visualization, geometry exploration, and real-time collaboration tools. They are seeking a Founding Full Stack Engineer to help build the core product and infrastructure powering the platform. This is a highly cross-functional role spanning frontend development, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and real-time data pipelines. The ideal candidate enjoys working across the stack and building complex technical products from the ground up. Responsibilities Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces in React for engineering and design workflows Develop interactive 3D visualizations using Three.js to explore geometry, meshes, and simulation data Design and implement scalable backend APIs using Python and Node.js Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS Build and maintain data pipelines that efficiently process and move geometry and simulation data Implement real-time collaboration and streaming systems using WebSockets Write tests, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to a clean, scalable codebase Requirements Strong experience with React and modern frontend development Backend development experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL Solid computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and system design Comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environments with broad ownership Nice to Have Experience with Three.js, WebGL, Babylon.js, or other 3D graphics technologies Familiarity with computational geometry concepts such as meshes, surfaces, or CAD file formats Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment workflows Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time architectures Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK Background in or interest in engineering, physics, simulation, or technical computing About Tangerine Search Tangerine Search is an equal opportunity agency that values diversity.
