Role summary / purpose Responsible for the development and integration of new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. Provides technical or functional guidance to project or work teams as needed within a specific discipline. Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, and/or enhances existing or new systems and web pages that are reliable and efficient. Key responsibilities Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications Support system integrations and troubleshooting of software issues Work with team members to maintain and enhance existing applications Participate in Agile development processes and scrum ceremonies Develop and refine Power BI dashboards, SQL reports, or API integrations based on assigned tasks Perform Power BI dashboard development, SQL data structuring, API integrations, workflow automation, and cloud development Collaborate on an ongoing basis with Business Systems Analysts Write and update full-stack applications on existing hardware and business processes Requirements - education & experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required 0-5 years of software engineering experience (internships, co-ops, and personal projects considered) Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs Experience developing web applications using Next.js or Angular Required skills Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, Java, and .NET Proficiency in AWS and cloud-based technologies Familiarity with Git and version control Knowledge of Agile methodology, software lifecycle, and scrum ceremonies Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Ability to thrive in an AI-first software development environment Nice-to-have / preferred skills Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, IT Project Management (PMP, Agile, SAFe), or DevOps methodologies Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Devin AI, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud automation, ERP integration, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture Experience with SCADA operations, AWS Glue, Lambda, SNS, and SQS Experience working in a cloud environment and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Automated testing and modern software development practices Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as SOX and cybersecurity best practices
