An Application Developer or Engineer designs or improves applications software. Oversees the entire applications development process. Analyzes customer or user needs, designs programs, writes code or instructs computer programmers, tests design, and documents programs. May assist with upgrades or maintenance.
We are seeking a hands-on Controls Application Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who enjoys working in industrial environments, takes initiative, and thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team. This role is on-site in Davenport, IA with travel to various locations throughout Central and Eastern Iowa.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and support control system applications using platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, or similar building/industrial automation software. Troubleshoot and resolve system, software, and control-related issues in the field. Work directly with customers and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and support of control systems. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to support system integration and troubleshooting. Perform system testing, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of control solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with control system software such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, or similar platforms. Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similar environment.
