Job Description

Job Summary The Senior Developer Advocate will play a key role in enhancing the developer experience by promoting emerging technologies, modern engineering practices, and developer enablement initiatives across the organization. This role combines technical expertise, advocacy, education, and collaboration to help engineering teams adopt innovative tools, optimize workflows, and improve software development efficiency. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developer engagement, technical innovation, cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and AI-assisted development tools while serving as a strong advocate for engineering communities and developer success. Key Responsibilities Advocate for developers by promoting modern engineering practices, tools, and workflows across the organization. Evaluate, experiment with, and promote emerging technologies, developer platforms, and productivity solutions. Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to improve the developer experience and influence technical roadmaps. Educate and guide developers on engineering best practices, tooling adoption, and workflow optimization. Support initiatives related to developer enablement, learning, technical culture, and innovation. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for engineering teams. Promote adoption of cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD methodologies. Leverage AI-assisted developer tools such as GitHub Copilot and Gemini Code Assist to improve development workflows and productivity. Collaborate with teams to identify developer pain points and recommend scalable solutions. Support knowledge-sharing initiatives including technical documentation, demonstrations, workshops, and internal advocacy programs. Contribute to open-source or inner-source initiatives and engineering community engagement efforts. Provide troubleshooting support and guidance related to developer tools and engineering workflows. Required Qualifications Hands-on software development experience or systems analysis experience within full-stack Agile development environments. Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to serve as an advocate for engineering teams. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with open-source technologies and inner-source repository models. Experience collaborating across product and engineering teams to support technical strategy and developer adoption initiatives. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, or similar technologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality and responsiveness. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience contributing to or collaborating with open-source communities. Experience supporting developer advocacy, developer relations, or engineering enablement initiatives. Video editing or multimedia content creation skills. Familiarity with developer productivity metrics, platform engineering, or internal developer platforms.
