Up to 30% (Domestic travel/US) Your Job Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Field Application Engineer (FAE) to lead, promote, and resolve technical and engineering challenges as Molex connectors, cables, and interconnect solutions are designed into advanced enterprise computing hardware. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical partner to a key strategic enterprise customer, supporting next-generation server, storage, and emerging computing technologies. You will play a critical role in securing design wins and positioning Molex as a preferred partner across long-term development programs. This is an opportunity to work on highly complex systems where successful design-ins can result in long product lifecycles, while contributing to future-facing applications such as advanced computing environments and next-generation architectures. What You Will Do Provide technical support to customer engineering teams to promote and secure design wins for Molex products within enterprise server, networking, and storage applications Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with engineering stakeholders and Signal Integrity (SI) experts to influence design decisions Drive long-term design-in activity and manage complex development cycles from concept through qualification and production Collaborate cross-functionally with Molex engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges and deliver solutions Recommend innovative solutions leveraging Molex's broad interconnect portfolio to address customer system-level challenges Provide customer insights and feedback to internal teams to improve products and align with evolving technology trends Support quality, qualification, and product lifecycle activities including new product introduction, testing, and ongoing supply assurance Develop technical credibility to act as a trusted advisor on high-speed interconnects, advanced system architectures, and specialized operating environments Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics or related field) Experience within the electronics or interconnect industry Experience interfacing directly with customer engineering teams Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and navigate complex technical challenges What Will Put You Ahead Experience supporting high-speed interconnects or similar electronic systems in server, networking, or related industries Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous and long-cycle development efforts Experience in engaging with advanced computing environments or highly specialized applications (e.g., thermal, signal integrity, or extreme operating conditions) Familiarity with connectors, cabling systems, and manufacturing processes Experience with statistical problem-solving approaches and quality tools Ability to establish credibility with highly technical customer stakeholders Well versed in 2D/3D CAD design tools (NX preferred) Location Preferred locations include proximity to key enterprise customer engineering hubs such as New York (Hudson Valley), Raleigh, NC, or Austin, TX, with periodic travel required to customer sites. Relocation and Sponsorship Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Compensation For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000- $140,000 per year.
