Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Develop embedded infotainment software; work with the existing team on production and advanced development projectsThe intern will be developing in C++, QT, and python, running on embedded linuxUnderstand and adhere to the DevOps infrastructure for the code being developedFollow the branching, quality, and software development processesUtilizing the CI/CD pipeline to help ensure code qualityCreate testing infrastructure to enable to automation of tests against the code being developedDevelop software used to instrument and exercise the application code created by the intern themselvesReview and critique code developed by other members of the teamIdentify areas to improve the code, sharing your knowledge and insights with members of the teamWHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Basic Qualifications:
Progress towards a B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and equivalent experienceProficiency in programming languages: C++, Qt/QML, Python, JavaScript, JavaExperience developing applications on Android or LinuxKnowledge in Agile, Waterfall, DevOps development processes and tools such as Jira, Confluence, GIT, and KubernetesAble to adapt to agile work scope with shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesComfortable with blank-slate initiatives as well as on-going established projectsGood communication skills and ability to develop/keep good relationship with tech experts from R D Center and internal counterpart teamsPreferred Qualifications:
Previous internship experienceSoftware developer/engineer experience in vehicle infotainment, E/E systems, consumer electronics or any relevant products, especially related to at least one of the following fields: HMI application programing, system programing, and embedded system developmentExperience in production SW lifecycle including requirements, system design, development, and maintenance of the embedded software for vehicle systemsWorking knowledge of operating systems such as QNX, Linux, Open Source SW, Yocto, and AndroidUnderstanding of modern techniques in at least one of the following fields: Machine Learning, Deep Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, Voice/Speech Recognition, Cloud ComputingWHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU
