This is a hands-on individual-contributor position for a developer who is actively writing code, building and supporting integrations, troubleshooting failed data transactions, and resolving complex production issues. This person will work on the data processing and integration activities that occur before information is submitted to external entities. The developer will analyze incoming healthcare transactions, investigate processing failures, identify recurring patterns, correct data or application issues, and improve the reliability of custom healthcare integration solutions. The ideal candidate is currently spending the majority of their time performing hands-on development and production support. This is not a technical leadership, architecture, governance, business analyst, reporting, or integration strategy position. Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and support custom healthcare data integrations and processing applications. Write and maintain
SQL, SSIS, C
#, and supporting integration code. Process and troubleshoot healthcare EDI transactions, particularly 837, 835, and 834 files. Investigate rejected, failed, or incomplete transactions using SQL, application logs, source files, and error messages. Trace healthcare data through the complete processing workflow to determine where and why failures occurred. Perform root-cause analysis and implement code or configuration changes to resolve defects. Identify recurring transaction and data-quality issues and develop sustainable fixes rather than one-time workarounds. Build and maintain custom healthcare technology solutions rather than relying exclusively on commercial EDI platforms. Support production incidents, data validation, reconciliation, testing, and release activities. Work with claims, encounter, enrollment, provider, membership, and payment data. Collaborate with healthcare operations, business, QA, data, and engineering teams while remaining personally responsible for hands-on technical delivery. Document technical workflows, transformation logic, error-handling processes, and implemented solutions. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
