Job Description

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build high-quality software solutions that power KLAS Research. In this role, you'll work alongside engineers and cross-functional partners to develop and improve applications that support our research, data, and business operations. You'll primarily work with C#, React, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle—from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. What You'll Do Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using C#, React, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Build reliable, secure, and performant applications that support KLAS's current and future products. Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployments to maintain high standards for software quality. Write unit tests and contribute to strong development and testing practices. Create and maintain clear technical documentation. Identify opportunities to improve existing applications, development practices, and technical solutions. Stay current with emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the team. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience. Experience developing modern software applications with C#/.NET and React. Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server. Strong understanding of database design, application architecture, and software development best practices. Demonstrated ability to write Unit Tests. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, coding standards, and version control. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Experience with additional programming languages, frameworks, or cloud technologies a plus The salary range for this role starts at $120,000 per year . Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
