Developer I Temple Headquarters - Temple, TX 76502 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Travel Percentage Negligible Category Banking Apply Description Texell Credit Union, named one of the best credit unions to work for in the nation by the Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Developer I to join our Software Development team. Texell Credit Union is looking for a full-stack Developer to join our Software Development team. The Developer will be responsible for leading development efforts including working with both front-end and back-end coding, project planning, code review, and quality control. As a Developer I, you will: Develop code primarily in Power-On, which is a programming language used by hundreds of Credit Unions, for which training will be provided. Program in other object-oriented languages such as C# will progressively increase as new technologies are adopted. Participate in software development efforts including project planning, writing specifications, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Create documentation for development projects to include project plans, work breakdown structure, procedures, and test scripts. Meet with end-users to define business objectives and system requirements for new projects.
We need you to have:
One or more years' experience in other modern object-oriented language such as ASP.NET Core is acceptable. Experience with AGILE development methodology, preferably SCRUM. The ability to learn and apply new technical concepts quickly and independently. A strong understanding of object-oriented design. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
