Full Stack Software Engineer Position Summary This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. The candidate takes responsibility for the software artifacts produced, adhering to U.S. Bank standards for security, observability, and performance. Essential Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including React-based UI, Java/Spring Boot APIs, Python microservices, and backend services Build and enhance scalable, secure microservices aligned with enterprise architecture and performance standards, leveraging Spring Boot, FastAPI, and modern architectural patterns Develop and integrate AI-powered agent workflows using LangGraph and LangChain for intelligent claim processing and decision automation Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality code, participate in design reviews, and continuously improve engineering practices Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation using Docker, ensuring reliable and efficient deployments Lead modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures Use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate coding, debugging, and knowledge sharing across the team Preferred Skills/Experience Strong hands-on experience with React.js 19 , TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks Proven expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot framework, and building RESTful APIs and microservices Experience developing Python applications using FastAPI and async patterns Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including DDL/DML, performance tuning Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integration of LLM-based workflows into applications Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Proficiency with DevOps / CI-CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher) Expertise in identity & security frameworks (IAM, SSO, OAuth2, JWT, Active Directory, TLS/mTLS) Familiarity with enterprise security architectures and cross-platform security implementation Familiarity with state machine patterns and workflow orchestration for complex business processes

•Participates in the technical design of application systems. Develops and implements application systems by participating through the software development lifecycle from inception to delivery and beyond. The role is high touch position with a notable amount of collaboration across product teams and stakeholders to define requirements and understand how they fit into the end objective.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Designs and writes complex code in several languages relevant to our existing product stack, with a focus on automation Configures, tunes, maintains and installs applications systems and validates system functionality Installs new software releases and application system upgrades. Evaluates and installs software patches Monitors and fine tunes applications system to achieve optimum performance levels and works with hardware teams to resolve issues with hardware and software Assists with application system problem resolution by working with application developers, vendors, and internal infrastructure teams member to troubleshoot Addresses product backlog and provide continuous delivery of high-quality features Maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation to ensure data integrity Acts to improve the overall reliability of systems and to increase efficiency Works collaboratively with cross functional teams, using Agile / DevOps principles to bring products to life, achieve business objectives and serve customer needs
