We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to take ownership of the quality strategy, testing processes, and release readiness across a growing technology environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for establishing scalable QA practices, leading testing initiatives, supporting a small Product Support team, and ensuring our applications deliver a reliable, high-quality user experience. The ideal candidate is a technically strong QA professional who enjoys working cross-functionally, solving complex problems, improving processes, and staying current with emerging technologies and modern testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an enterprise-wide quality assurance and testing strategy aligned with product and business objectives. Lead and mentor Software Quality Assurance Engineers, providing technical, management, and process direction. Manage and support a small Product Support team , helping establish effective processes for issue identification, escalation, and resolution. Develop comprehensive project-level test plans, strategies, scenarios, scripts, use cases, and acceptance criteria. Lead functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across multiple interconnected applications and systems. Establish and advance an automated testing strategy , including the evaluation, implementation, and management of testing tools, frameworks, and standards. Partner closely with developers throughout the full product development lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and post-release support. Lead QA efforts across a full-stack, web-based application as well as Android and iOS applications . Serve as a key quality gatekeeper for production releases, ensuring applications meet defined requirements and quality standards before deployment. Own QA deliverables, testing milestones, release readiness, and overall testing activities within assigned projects. Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks associated with software quality and testing, escalating concerns when appropriate. Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet established quality expectations. Plan, coordinate, and oversee system and user acceptance testing. Document and communicate test strategies, test plans, results, testing status, quality metrics, and identified risks. Provide centralized QA support for critical business functions and initiatives. Analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with development teams to identify root causes and drive timely resolution. Continuously evaluate QA processes and methodologies to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, reliability, and automation. Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in software quality assurance and incorporate relevant innovations into the organization's testing practices. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across the technology organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field , or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineering , with demonstrated experience taking on leadership responsibilities. Experience working across the full software development lifecycle , from requirements and development through testing, deployment, and post-release support. Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, UFT, or QTP . Working knowledge of Java, SQL, and Bash scripting . Experience developing and executing unit, functional, integration, regression, and system tests . Strong test planning and documentation skills, with the ability to develop clear testing strategies, procedures, criteria, and results. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to software quality. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desired Experience & Skills Experience with JIRA or similar issue and project tracking platforms . Experience building or expanding automated QA processes within a growing technology organization. Experience testing web, mobile, and API-based applications . Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment. Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
