Job Description

Position Summary
STARTECX INC.
is seeking a PCBA Process and Test Engineer to develop, improve, and support printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing and testing. This role works with engineering, production, and quality teams to bring new products into production, resolve defects, and improve yield and test coverage. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain PCBA assembly and test processes, work instructions, and inspection criteria. Support new product introduction, including design reviews, prototype builds, process validation, and production readiness. Develop, validate, and maintain functional test procedures, test fixtures, and automated test equipment. Troubleshoot PCBAs to component and circuit level using schematics and test equipment. Investigate assembly and test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Monitor yield, defects, and test results; recommend improvements to quality, throughput, and repeatability. Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve manufacturing and component issues. Train production technicians on assembly, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting procedures. Maintain accurate engineering documentation, test records, and change controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with PCBA manufacturing processes, functional testing, and fault diagnosis. Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience with automated test development, test fixture design, Python or LabVIEW, and electronics manufacturing quality processes. The engineer will work in a production environment and may occasionally need to handle equipment, fixtures, and PCB assemblies.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
