Job Description

Position Summary The Manufacturing Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing systems, processes, and data integrity across production operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in manufacturing environments while working closely with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, and IT. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and eager to grow within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. What you'll do: Systems Support & Analysis Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP systems, and other production-related software platforms. Collect, analyze, and report on manufacturing data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Assist in troubleshooting system issues and coordinate with IT and vendors to resolve problems in a timely manner. This may include some Helpdesk assistance. Generate and distribute standard and ad hoc reports to support production planning and operational decision-making. Process Improvement Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps in current processes and recommending data-driven solutions. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to manufacturing systems. Support root cause analysis activities and contribute to corrective action plans. Data Integrity & Reporting Maintain accuracy of data within manufacturing systems, including BOMs, routing, work orders, and inventory records. Perform regular audits of system data to ensure consistency and reliability. Develop dashboards and visual reporting tools to communicate KPIs to operations leadership. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, quality teams, and supply chain personnel to support operational goals. Participate in project teams for system upgrades, new system implementations, and process change initiatives. Travel to plant locations to provide on-site systems support, training, and project assistance. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or systems analyst role [MD2] would be ideal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard/typical desktop business software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to domestic plant locations. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) environments is a plus. Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus. Understanding of production planning, inventory management, or supply chain concepts. SQL or database query experience is a plus. Experience with AI tools such as Claude or CoPilot is a requirement. Experience with User Support systems such as Service Now is a plus. [
