Position Description:
The successful applicant will provide technical support for existing OAG hardware and software. Applicant will work with IT staff to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing computers, computer peripherals, applications. They will also assist in helping maintain inventory and surplus. Applicant may be involved in implementation of new or upgraded systems, software and hardware, depending on the current projects assigned to the IT Staff. They will have the opportunity work with many different areas of technology throughout this internship. Possible travel may be required as needed to provide services to field offices.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program. All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
