Job Description

Role Description:
The UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, visually appealing, and functional digital products by bridging user needs with NGA system goals. This role will be heavily involved in the end-to-end design process, from initial research and concept development to final implementation, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across digital products within PEO-GG.
Key responsibilities include:
In-depth user research and strategic analysis to investigate user needs, conduct usability testing, and analyze market competition, translating these findings into clear user personas and design requirements. The designer will craft interaction flows, storyboards, wireframes, and sitemaps to establish logical and intuitive navigation. Furthermore, they will be responsible for visual design, developing high-fidelity mockups, user interfaces, navigation menus, and widgets using industry-standard tools like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite, and building interactive prototypes for testing and iteration based on user feedback. Collaboration and design in conjunction with the Mission Advocacy Team is considered a best practice to ensure consistency of design and feel across PEO-GG products. Finally, this role entails close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and seamless implementation, contributing to the creation and maintenance of robust design systems, and conducting final UI reviews to guarantee quality and adherence to design specifications. The ability to effectively communicate design decisions and adapt to technical constraints is crucial for success.
Position Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 5 years of relevant experience can be substituted. Demonstrated user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, showing a deep understanding of the end-to-end design process. Demonstrated expertise in user research methodologies, wireframing, creating user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototyping. Demonstrated high proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Illustrator, Photoshop). Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality digital products.
Desired:
Master's Degree from an accredited university Demonstrated specialized experience with the NGA and/or other IC Agency missions and communications policies Demonstrated knowledge of Artificial Intelligence principles and implications for UI/UX Demonstrated knowledge of PEO-GG systems
Pay:
$101,934.63 - $122,759.99 per year
