Job Description

Job Summary A technology organization is hiring a Java Web Developer I to support the development, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical business applications within a merchandise accounting systems group. This role supports applications and product databases for thousands of retail locations and involves close collaboration within a team environment. The position participates in the full software development lifecycle, including post-implementation support, and is designed as a temporary role with the potential to convert to full-time. Responsibilities Design, develop, integrate, and implement Java-based web applications supporting business-critical systems Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including post-implementation support Build and maintain single-page web applications using modern front-end technologies Develop and consume REST APIs to support interfacing systems Support and maintain product databases, store-level replenishment, and product quality reporting systems Collaborate with team members to support shared applications and databases Create and maintain automated builds using Gradle Work with source control systems to manage and track code changes
Qualifications Required:
2+ years of overall IT experience 1+ years of experience working across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle 1+ years of experience building single-page web applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Java/Kotlin 1+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA frameworks 1+ years of experience developing and consuming REST APIs 1+ years of experience with relational databases, with Oracle preferred 1+ years of experience using source control tools such as Git Experience creating automated builds using
Gradle Preferred:
Experience working with Docker and/or Kubernetes Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting Additional Information This is a temporary-to-permanent position Candidates must be able to commute to a downtown Cleveland office Work schedule is a flexible 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. workday Employment authorization sponsorship is not available
