Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District is a Single District County. Our enrollment is 411 students in 4 facilities. Job Summary Job Summary The primary purpose of the position of the TOSA- Online Learning Support, College & Career Readiness is to provide online learning support for our district's middle school and high school students as well as college and career readiness support to the students and families of the Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District, primarily for Downieville Junior/Senior High School. Under the general supervision of the Superintendent or Designee, the TOSA- Online Learning Support, College & Career Readiness provides support and progress monitoring to students who are taking online courses within their on campus course load to widen their academic and career opportunities. This Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) position works closely with high school principals, counselors and advisors to support our students taking online and dual enrollment courses and to provide information and counseling for students and their families in the college application and financial aid processes, as well as vocational training and career preparation. The TOSA brings post-high school informational events and workshops to our students and holds a key role in creating and maintaining a college-going and career-ready school culture.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Valid California Teaching Credential (Single Subject or Multiple Subject) •
Experience:
At least two years of teaching experience and career and college-related work at the high school level preferred. The position will incorporate training and workshops • Experience teaching or managing online learning environments • A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites.
