2026-09-07 Description We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Airport Operations team at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) as an Airport Services Duty Supervisor.
Job Purpose:
The Airport Services Duty Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all flight handling activities, including check-in, boarding, transfers, flight editing, and customer service delivery, ensuring the highest standards of operational performance and customer satisfaction. The role supports the achievement of on-time departures, effective disruption management, and seamless airport operations, while deputizing for the Airport Services Duty Officer and/or Airport Representative when required.
Key Accountabilities:
Act as the station coordinator, liaising closely with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) and internal stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met and on-time performance targets are achieved. Monitor flight handling activities and oversee passenger boarding and flight closure to support on-time departures. Supervise airport teams and provide guidance to ensure service delivery standards are consistently maintained. Coordinate ramp handling activities with GHA, catering, fueling, maintenance, cargo, and crew teams to facilitate efficient aircraft turnarounds. Maximize resource utilization through effective manpower planning and duty allocation throughout the shift. Review operational messages, aircraft allocations, passenger loads, and movement updates to ensure all stakeholders remain informed. Support the Airport Services Duty Officer in managing flight disruptions, delays, misconnections, and denied boarding situations while ensuring passengers receive the highest level of care and assistance. Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory requirements. Prepare operational reports and communicate key updates as required. Perform any additional operational duties and responsibilities assigned by the Airport Services Manager.
