EdKey Inc., Mesa, AZ Mesa, AZ Job Details Part-time 22 hours ago Qualifications Passenger Endorsement Safety regulations School Bus Endorsement CDL High school diploma or GED Vehicle codes Full Job Description Positions are available for Arizona DPS Certified school bus drivers.
Essential Job functions:
Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes while following all applicable Arizona traffic laws and school transportation regulations. Safely transport K-12 students to and from school, extracurricular activities, filed trips, athletic events, and other authorized activities. Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment on the bus. Follow assigned routes, schedules, stops, and transportation procedures. Monitor student behavior and address concerns professionally and appropriately. Assist students with entering and exiting the bus safely, including students who may require additional assistance. Maintain consistent communication with the Tr4ansportation Department regarding delays, route changes, student concerns, vehicle issues, and emergencies. Follow established procedures for accidents, emergencies, evacuations, severe weather, and other unexpected situations. Maintain confidentiality and treat students, families, and school staff with professionalism and respect. Complete required transportation logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and on time. Participate in required safety meetings, training, and professional development. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Possess the required Commercial Driver License (CDL) and applicable school bus and passenger endorsements. Possess current and valid IVP Card. Meet applicable Arizona Department of Public Safety and school transportation requirements. Meet applicable medical and physical requirements for the position. Ability to work Split-Shift Schedules, field trips, and extracurricular transportation. Part- Time- Afternoon and field trip shift , with the possibility of full time.
