The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring a secure and comfortable environment throughout the journey. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills. Candidates must possess the necessary endorsements and a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate school buses effectively. Duties Safely operate school buses along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transit, including proper supervision and behavior management. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of routes, student counts, and any incidents or delays. Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students as needed. Follow established schedules strictly to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the appropriate personnel. Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including possessing the necessary endorsements. Skills Must have S and P endorsements on your CDL license. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for school bus operation. Proven driving experience with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to school transportation. Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and school staff.
