Job Description

Location:
F-M Transportation Department Hours:
6 a.m. - 9 a.m. and/or 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. shifts on both a scheduled and on call basis. Afternoon and evening shifts are available for extra-curricular activity runs. This is a 10 month position.
Pay Rate:
$31.15/hour - once training is completed and appointed as a School Bus Driver by the district.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be at least 21 years old and be able to interact well with both adults and children. A commercial driver's license class B, with air brakes, passenger and school bus endorsements is necessary.
ALL TRAINING IS PROVIDED.
The candidate must be capable of providing a safe and efficient operation of a school bus in transporting students to and from school and school district functions within the scope of vehicle and traffic law. All candidates must be able to physically check the vehicle to ensure proper operation and submit to medical, physical, drug and alcohol exams on a periodic basis. Additionally, the ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions is crucial for maintaining smooth operations.
