Job Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Double Deck Bus Driver! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating double-deck buses along designated routes, ensuring passengers enjoy a smooth, comfortable, and safe journey. Your expertise in vehicle operation, customer service, and traffic regulations will help us deliver exceptional transit experiences. Responsibilities Safely operate double-deck buses on scheduled routes, adhering to all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure bus safety and readiness. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking or requiring additional passenger assistance. Navigate city streets efficiently while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and adhering to route schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and fellow drivers using two-way radios to coordinate routes and report incidents. Enforce safety protocols related to passenger safety, vehicle operation, and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries, ensuring a positive travel experience, and managing any onboard issues professionally. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements such as air brake and passenger transport. Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or similar transportation roles such as delivery or limousine driving. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems for basic maintenance and inspections. Familiarity with motor coach operations, city street navigation, and driving in adverse weather conditions. Knowledge of transportation safety regulations including DOT and state transportation laws. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with passengers and team members via two-way radios. Ability to perform vehicle inspections diligently and respond promptly to maintenance needs or safety concerns. Demonstrated defensive driving skills with a focus on passenger safety and accident prevention. This position will be (LHT) so experience preferred.
