Job Description
Job Summary The Courier Service Representative supports the efficient handling, processing, and delivery of mail and packages while providing dependable customer service. This role involves organizing shipments, verifying delivery information, assisting customers, maintaining accurate records, and following established postal safety and service procedures. Responsibilities Receive, sort, organize, and prepare mail and packages for delivery. Assist with pickup and delivery activities according to assigned schedules. Verify addresses, labels, and shipment information for accuracy. Handle letters, parcels, and other postal materials carefully. Provide courteous and professional service to customers. Answer questions about delivery procedures and available postal services. Maintain accurate records of shipments, pickups, and deliveries. Use handheld devices, computers, or other systems to update service information. Communicate delivery issues, delays, or package concerns to appropriate personnel. Follow established procedures for handling incoming and outgoing mail. Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe. Follow postal security, safety, and operational guidelines. Coordinate with coworkers and delivery personnel to support daily operations. Complete assigned tasks accurately while meeting service deadlines. Qualifications Previous experience in courier, delivery, postal, logistics, retail, or customer service is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to handle packages and mail responsibly. Comfortable using basic computer or mobile technology. Ability to follow schedules, instructions, and established procedures. Dependable, punctual, and professional work habits. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
