Job Summary The Courier Service Worker supports the timely and accurate movement of packages, documents, and other items between designated locations. This role involves preparing shipments, completing pickups and deliveries, maintaining delivery records, and providing professional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other assigned items. Receive, sort, organize, and prepare items for scheduled deliveries. Verify addresses, labels, delivery instructions, and package information. Handle packages carefully to help prevent loss or damage. Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, and service instructions. Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain accurate records. Communicate professionally with customers and delivery contacts. Report delays, damaged packages, incorrect addresses, or other service issues. Use mobile devices or company systems to update delivery information. Coordinate with dispatchers and team members regarding daily assignments. Maintain an organized and clean work area and delivery equipment. Follow workplace, transportation, and package-handling safety procedures. Complete assigned deliveries accurately and within expected timeframes. Support general courier and logistics tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in courier, delivery, logistics, transportation, or customer service is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to follow routes, schedules, and detailed instructions. Strong attention to detail when handling addresses and shipment information.
