None - Independent Contractor Position Position Overview We are seeking reliable, professional, and dependable Medical Courier Drivers to provide timely transportation of medical specimens, supplies, documents, and other healthcare-related materials between medical facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, hospitals, and designated locations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking part-time work with early morning and/or evening route availability. Drivers must be dependable, safety-conscious, professional, and able to follow established delivery procedures. Available Markets Charlotte, NC Gastonia, NC Greensboro, NC Columbia, SC Schedule Part-time routes are available during: Early Morning Routes Evening Routes Additional routes may be available based on business needs and driver availability. Route times, mileage, and pickup/delivery requirements will be provided before accepting an assignment. Responsibilities Safely pick up and deliver medical specimens, supplies, documents, and other assigned materials. Maintain accurate pickup and delivery records. Follow all required handling, transportation, and confidentiality procedures. Ensure specimens and other medical materials remain secure during transportation. Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities, laboratory personnel, patients, and dispatch. Perform vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, reliable vehicle. Use a smartphone or mobile device for route information, communication, and delivery confirmation. Complete routes within established pickup and delivery timeframes. Immediately report delays, delivery issues, accidents, or other concerns to dispatch. Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and medical information.Driver Requirements Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years of age. Possess a valid driver's license. Have a clean driving record and meet applicable insurance requirements. Have a clean background for the past 7 years. Be drug-free and willing to comply with applicable drug-screening requirements. Be dependable, punctual, and professional. Have a working smartphone with reliable cellular service. Be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Be comfortable driving throughout the assigned service area. Be able to safely lift and carry packages/materials as required for the route. CDL is NOT required. Independent Contractor Status This position is offered as a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity. Contractors are responsible for their own applicable taxes, vehicle expenses, fuel, insurance, maintenance, and other business-related expenses. No employee benefits are provided, including health insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, or unemployment benefits. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in any of the following is a plus: Medical courier services Pharmacy delivery Laboratory/specimen transportation Healthcare transportation Package delivery Logistics or route delivery Commercial driving Medical courier experience is preferred but not required for dependable candidates who can learn and follow required procedures.
