• Yard Driver uses yard tractor equipment for pulling and spotting trailers for the purpose of loading and unloading.

Primary Responsibilities:

Audits for proper trailer numbers. Utilizes and updates Yard. Management Software Communicates via radio to dock loading and unloading areas. Operates and maintains vehicle in accordance with prescribed safety standards and DOT regulations, if applicable. Completes manual logs relative to yard verifications. Maintains proper Seal Control procedures. Pulls and spots trailers for the purposes of loading and unloading. Performs other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

Requires the ability to understand and follow general oral and/or written instructions. Requires valid license(s) as dictated by law. Knowledge of principles and methods of moving trailers by road or in confined area. Extensive yard driving experience preferred.
