About Us COD Health Care is a DODD-certified provider of home and community-based services for adults with developmental disabilities in Northwest Ohio. We serve individuals in Lucas, Wood, Defiance, Williams, and Hancock counties and work closely with county boards of DD. Our transportation program gets the people we support to day programs, work, appointments, and community activities — safely, on time, and with respect. What You'll Do Drive individuals to and from day programs, jobs, medical appointments, and community outings using your own vehicle or an agency vehicle Follow a set daily route with scheduled home pick-ups and drop-offs Assist riders in and out of the vehicle and to the door; secure seat belts and mobility equipment as needed Keep accurate trip logs, mileage records, and required documentation for each ride Communicate promptly with the scheduling team about delays, cancellations, or route changes Report any incidents or concerns per DODD Major Unusual Incident (MUI) requirements Treat every rider with patience, dignity, and professionalism What You'll Need Age 18 or older (21+ preferred) Valid Ohio driver's license with no more than 6 points on your driving record Reliable, insured, registered vehicle in good condition (if driving your own) and proof of auto insurance High school diploma or GED Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and a drug screen First Aid and CPR certification — or willingness to obtain (we'll help) DODD-required initial training — completed before providing services (we provide it) Smartphone for trip logging and team communication Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, not required Why COD Health Care Consistent, predictable route schedule — same riders, same times Paid training and certifications Mileage reimbursement Supportive team and direct access to leadership Opportunity to cross-train as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for additional hours How to Apply Apply through Indeed or send your resume to admin@codhealthcare.com .
