Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers or goods to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all interactions with clients and the public. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles, including vans, shuttles, or buses, to transport passengers or goods as required. Ensure timely arrivals and departures at designated locations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle before and after each trip. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist with heavy lifting of luggage or cargo when necessary. Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts. Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and routes effectively. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred. No more that 2 Moving Violations and or Accidents in the last 3 Years. No DUI or DWI in the last 10 years. Must be able to pass a background and drug test pre-employment. Proven experience in customer service roles; previous experience as a van driver, shuttle driver, or delivery driver is advantageous. Familiarity with various types of vehicles such as limousines, school buses, or paratransit vehicles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during transport operations. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with passengers. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary. A commitment to safety protocols and practices while on the road.
