Job Description:
The Software Platform Pilot owns and manages all aspects of software delivery for a given vehicle program (example DT BEV). The SPP will create and manage a software delivery plan such that all key vehicle, plant, quality, and engineering requirements are met on time and with the correct feature content according to the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Prior to the X0 PhaseCreate the software delivery plan and ensure alignment with all key stakeholdersUnderstand all new features that must be delivered and build a feature rollout plan (FROP)Prioritize features into groups that can be released, validated and delivered as packages during the development processEnsure that a proper validation plan supports each software delivery phaseAfter The X0 PhaseCoordinate the delivery of software according to the feature rollout plan to all consumersEnsure that validation is complete prior to delivery of software packagesTrack all open issues (defects, GIMS etc.) and drive them to closureCreate and own the feature readiness glidepathEnsure that software of the correct maturity is supplied to all plant builds, including SOPAdjust planning as necessary, recommending feature deferrals when appropriateDrive Tier 1 suppliers and internal software development teams to maintain timing and delivery according to the plan
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related fieldA minimum of 8 years' experience in automotive product validation or designExperience with software specifications, development, and testing (full V-cycle)Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional teamsKnowledge of EEDPWorking knowledge of corporate engineering, quality, and manufacturing processes and the systems that drive them
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in related fieldA minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, program management or related fields
