Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking energetic and dependable Drivers to join our team at Pennington Adult Living Services, providing vital transportation services for adults participating in our Day Habilitation programs. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to and from various locations, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the journey. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with diverse needs by delivering reliable transportation in a professional and caring manner. All positions are paid, in emphasizing the importance of valuing every team member's contribution. Pay is open for negotiation based on experience and driving record Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including sedans/SUVS to transport clients. Provide support for individuals with mobility challenges if needed Follow all traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times. Respond quickly and appropriately to traffic changes, road conditions, and emergency situations during transit. Maintain clear communication with clients and staff, and to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately. Adhere to emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and first aid when necessary. Requirements 18 years or older High School Diploma Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations Experience working with children or adults with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Ability to assist passengers as needed Strong communication skills in English Certification in first aid/CPR, preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
