DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role centers on operating automotive equipment to safely transport residents, materials, and supplies on and off facility grounds. You support essential operations by carrying out transportation, maintenance, and safety tasks that keep the facility functioning smoothly. As an Equipment Operator A, you will perform the following duties:
Vehicle Operation:
Operate passenger cars, trucks, vans, buses, and invalid coaches to transport residents and materials to various destinations
Safety Checks:
Complete inspections and verify locking devices and equipment are properly secured before each trip
Material Transport:
Make pickups and deliveries of mail, supplies, materials, drugs, and blood samples, both locally and long distance
Maintenance Work:
Perform minor repairs, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and assist mechanics with major repairs
Facility Support:
Carry out department tasks such as loading vehicles, maintaining records, cleaning work areas, and completing paperwork
Tool Use:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with 30-minute lunch. Flexible Schedule, Weekends and Holidays as needed.
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
You must be in possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
