Duties Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Follow prescribed delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Handle heavy lifting with proper manual lifting practices to protect yourself and maintain efficiency. Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmations, and communication with dispatch teams. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring packages are delivered accurately and courteously, addressing any delivery issues professionally. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including moving items within the warehouse or loading materials onto delivery vehicles. Skills Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services, with a strong understanding of route driving and time management. Warehouse experience and familiarity with material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of commercial driving standards, including manual transmission operation if applicable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices. Excellent driving skills with a clean record, demonstrating adherence to traffic regulations and DOT standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Experience with warehouse operations, moving goods efficiently within storage areas when necessary.
