The Driver transports materials to and from construction job sites, unloads trucks, checks deliveries against paperwork and participates in day-to-day tasks within the door shop. You will oversee Driver Helpers and assist them with the execution of their job duties. •You MUST provide a current copy of your driving record. Hours range from 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Responsibilities Pull pallets & number doors. Line out the helpers. Load & unload trucks. Number doors. Unload material at jobsites - Haul doors upstairs. Put materials in correct units. Verify that all the material is spread into correct units. Maintain a clean truck. Report any truck maintenance issues to Shop Manager. Get the required delivery paperwork signed by the Superintendent and return it to the shop. Train new Drivers/Driver Helpers. Double-check the work of all helpers to ensure efficiency. Complete assigned training. Qualifications Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to transportation and warehouse operations. Must have forklift certification. Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record . You MUST provide a current copy of your driving record. Must be able to read and understand paperwork. Must be able to read a tape measure. Must be able to read and speak English. Must be able to lift 100 pounds. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must have a functioning smart phone with internet capability. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
