Key Responsibilities Safe Delivery Operations:

Safely operate and maneuver Class A delivery trucks to transport welding equipment, safety gear, and industrial gases to local customers.

Hazardous Materials Handling:

Follow all strict compliance protocols for loading, securing, transporting, and unloading hazardous materials (HAZMAT) according to DOT regulations.

Customer Service:

Act as the face of the company during deliveries. Interact professionally with customers, verify order accuracy, and obtain delivery signatures.

Pre/Post-Trip Inspections:

Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections (brakes, tires, lights, fluid levels) and maintain accurate logs using required logging systems.

Loading & Unloading:

Assist with loading and unloading cylinders and equipment using proper tools, lift gates, and safety practices.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the Store Manager, dispatch, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient delivery schedules and timely order fulfillment.

Required Qualifications & Skills License & Endorsements:

Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a current HAZMAT endorsement.

Driving Record:

Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.

Medical Certification:

Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Experience:

Previous experience operating commercial motor vehicles and delivering industrial gases/heavy goods is preferred.

Safety Mindset:

Deep understanding of

FMCSA/DOT

regulations and a strict commitment to workplace and road safety.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to physically handle, roll, and manipulate industrial gas cylinders. Ability to lift and move up to 50-75 pounds regularly.
