Job Description
FEED Cooperative is a farmer and employee-owned food hub seeking to hire a part-time delivery driver for 25-30 hours per week. The ideal candidate is a vibrant, passionate, disciplined self-starter who can help us fulfill our mission to create a sustainable food system in collaboration with our local Sonoma County farmers. FEED Cooperative is a local produce distributor based in Petaluma. We work closely with local farms to deliver high-quality produce throughout the North Bay and Bay Area while supporting a more resilient and equitable food system. We are looking for a driver who knows the region well and has experience driving 14-16-foot box trucks and Sprinter vans. Delivery days for this position are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. All routes start in the early AM. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, staying active, and being part of a values-driven organization. Responsibilities Deliver produce orders to customers in a safe, professional, and timely manner Load and unload delivery vehicles Verify orders and maintain accurate delivery paperwork Communicate with warehouse and transportation staff throughout routes Help maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles Represent FEED professionally with customers and farm partners Skills/Qualifications Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record acceptable to our auto insurance carrier Be able to perform all job functions safely Knowledge of local produce a plus Ability to lift 40-50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift trong communication and organizational skills Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Experience driving delivery vehicles or box trucks preferred Compensation $20 per hour Paid sick time Weekly FEED Bin Opportunity to work in a collaborative, values-driven environment Employee ownership opportunities Please send brief cover letter with resume to info@feedsonoma.com.
