Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a leading provider of skilled trade services throughout California, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering and retrieving construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites while maintaining timely and efficient delivery schedules. This position requires a valid Class C driver's license. During periods when deliveries are not scheduled, the Delivery Driver will support warehouse operations by loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, maintaining the warehouse and yard, and assisting with other operational tasks as assigned. Schedule Wednesday through Sunday 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Responsibilities Operate company stake beds or vehicles to deliver or pick-up various sized equipment and material Hook-up, attach or disconnect trailers to vehicles as needed Tow trailers as needed to transport equipment and materials when required Tie-down and inspect cargo ensuring department policies are practiced Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment Ensure paperwork and email communication is completed accurately and on time Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and other team members regarding delivery arrival times Perform general maintenance and warehouse duties during non-drive time Adaptable to work independently and as part of a team Operate forklifts to move equipment as needed Additional duties will be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of delivery experience related to construction equipment or a closely related field Valid and insurable Class C driver's license (defined as holding a valid license with no more than two points on driving record within the past five years) Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening Physical ability to load, unload, and handle equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Proficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectively About the Company Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
