A typical day could involve picking up groceries from retailers early in the morning, loading the truck, driving to one or more distribution locations, unloading and organizing food, documenting quantities/mileage, and helping keep operations safe and organized. We are seeking an energetic and reliable Part-time Box Truck Driver/Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck, assisting with loading and unloading, and maintaining efficient delivery routes. Your proactive attitude and attention to safety will help us deliver exceptional service while adhering to all traffic and workplace regulations. Hours:

6:45 AM to 1:00 PM (hours vary). Duties Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Load and unload materials using manual handling techniques, while following safe lifting practices Assist with operations including inventory management, material handling, and organization of goods Deliver refrigerated food products directly to community distribution sites Communicate effectively with logistic corndinator delivery details, provide excellent customer service, and address any questions or concerns Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication daily Load & unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe handling and transportation of goods. Drive Box Truck for Mobile Food Pantry/ Assit driver Pick-up groceries and other goods from assigned retailers in early morning. Drive to distribution sites as instructed (will vary from day to day). Unload boxes and arrange as necessary at site. Responsible for truck cleanliness, proper refrigeration and storage of all fresh grocery items to avoid cross-contamination. Driver is also responsible for productivity and safety of volunteers on truck. Keep records of quantity of food picked-up and trip mileage etc. Contact Director with any problems, truck maintenance issues or schedule changes. Ability to lift and unload boxes up to 40 pounds is essential. Drivers must be professional and able to interact successfully with a wide variety of people.

Time management:

work efficiently to ensure goods are picked up and dropped off in a timely manner on daily schedule.
