Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dependable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to our valued customers while providing exceptional service that builds lasting relationships. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity. Deliver products directly to customers' locations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and proper merchandise handling. Engage with customers professionally, building rapport through clear communication and excellent customer service. Assist with merchandising, product presentation, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Perform heavy lifting as needed, following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, route logs, and client interactions for accountability and reporting purposes. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and transaction handling. Proven ability in customer relationship building and client communication. Experience in retail store environments or automobile transportation is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and heavy lifting techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle client inquiries professionally. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing.
