Additionally, the maintenance technician will also work as a driver during peak seasons.
Job Responsibilities & Duties :
Completes basic maintenance work orders, performs basic plumbing tasks, assists with the maintenance and repair of building equipment and auxiliary systems, addresses and contributes to the upkeep and safety of the facility. Engages in basic fabricating and finishing of wood and metal products using hand and power tools, as well as engages with all repairs around the facility. Executes basic painting and repairs, contributing to facility upkeep by handling tasks like painting, drywall repair, signage installation, lighting replacement, and minor ceiling and floor repairs that ensure the maintenance of the building. Conducts basic troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, plumbing, irrigation, office, greenhouse, and electrical issues throughout the facility. Conducts routine preventative maintenance inspections of facilities, promptly identifying issues and reporting defects or adverse conditions to ensure safety throughout the building. Prompt response to employee/building/facilities inquiries and complaints, provides timely and quality service ensuring that the work gets done in a timely manner. Provide back up support for deliveries during peak seasons.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a valid Class B CDL driver's license 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in facilities maintenance and/or equipment maintenance and repair. Completion of an apprenticeship will be highly considered. Demonstrates basic plumbing, electrical, irrigation, carpentry, welding, painting, drywall repair and fabrication skills Working knowledge of tools (such as reading a tape measure), common appliances, and devices. Basic math skills and experience with Outlook and general computer skills. Ability to identify opportunities that benefit internal customers. Personable and patient in employee interactions. Strong communication, organizational, and housekeeping skills. Customer-focused with the ability to build strong co-worker relationships and deliver solutions. Willingness to address issues, clearly state what is needed, and readily tackle tough assignments. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new situations and take on unfamiliar tasks.
