Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and reliable Shed Delivery/Setup Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting sheds, storage units, and related materials to various locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Your role is vital in maintaining excellent customer service by delivering products with professionalism and care. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and experienced in commercial driving and material handling. A shed delivery driver safely transports, unloads, and levels pre-built sheds at customer locations. This role mixes commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and basic carpentry. Drivers work outdoors in all weather and require excellent customer service skills.
Hauling:
Drive trucks and specialized tilt-bed trailers to transport structures safely.
Site Setup:
Manually maneuver sheds into yards using specialized machines like a "Shed Mule" (a mini motorized forklift).
Levelling:
Lift the shed using jacks, then place concrete blocks or wooden shims to make the structure perfectly level.
Customer Service:
Review placement with the customer, have them sign paperwork, and process final payments.
Qualifications Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CDL:
Valid CDL is required.
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds regularly and bend, stoop, or crawl under sheds to level them.
Mechanical Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot and safely operate winches, jacks, and motorized equipment.
Navigation:
Strong ability to back up trailers into tight, uneven, or residential spaces.
Typical Work Environment Schedule:
Full-time hours, often with overtime and some overnight trips for long-distance deliveries.
Physicality:
Outdoor work involving dust, heavy lifting, and exposure to heat and cold.
