Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring product safety and integrity. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions and building positive relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, route logs, and inventory records. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, automobile transportation, and safe lifting practices. Basic math skills for pricing calculations and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus. Ability to lift heavy items regularly while following safety protocols. Familiarity with DOT regulations, customer service principles, and organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
