Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely assisting with large items directly to customers' homes or designated locations. Your enthusiasm for excellent customer service, combined with your patience, will ensure a smooth delivery experience. Ability to work 6am-3pm or later! Duties Safely operate hand truck dollies and shoulder dollies for furniture and appliances. Load and unload furniture using equipment such as pallet jacks and four-wheel dollies ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly. Assist customers with the placement and setup of furniture in their homes or offices, delivering exceptional customer service at every interaction. Follow route schedules diligently, adjusting as needed to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards. Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably involving furniture or heavy goods transportation. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Warehouse experience including loading, unloading, and moving heavy items using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent with experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles with air brakes. Familiarity with route driving, heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, and safety protocols on the road Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy furniture repeatedly throughout the day. Knowledge of safety procedures related to warehouse operations, moving heavy objects. Join us in delivering not just furniture but memorable experiences!
