•We are seeking a dependable, professional, and hardworking Contract Box Truck Delivery Driver to handle local delivery routes Monday through Friday. This position involves more than simply driving. The driver will be responsible for loading, transporting, protecting, and unloading customer deliveries, communicating with customers, following assigned route manifests, and working closely with the business owner and broker team to ensure routes are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable of handling large and heavy items; using pallet jack, lift-gate, and hand dolly; comfortable working as part of a team, and understands the importance of protecting both customer property and the reputation of the delivery company. Schedule Monday through Friday Routes begin at approximately 6:30 AM End time varies — drivers work until the assigned route is completed Local delivery routes Applicants must have dependable transportation, availability and be prepared for route lengths to vary from day to day. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck while completing assigned local delivery routes. Read, understand, and follow daily route manifests and delivery instructions. Use GPS/navigation systems to efficiently locate delivery addresses. Assist with loading and unloading all items scheduled for delivery. Properly secure, protect, and organize merchandise inside the truck to prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transportation. Safely lift and move heavy and oversized merchandise. Carefully transport items into and/or out of customer locations as required by the delivery assignment. Contact customers by phone when necessary regarding arrival times, delivery instructions, access issues, or other delivery-related matters. Maintain courteous and professional communication with customers at all times. Immediately communicate delivery problems, damages, customer concerns, route delays, or other issues to the appropriate person. Provide timely feedback and route updates to the business owner. Complete required delivery documentation and accurately report delivery status. Work cooperatively and professionally with the company's broker team. Follow broker requirements, delivery procedures, and customer-service expectations while always working in the best interest of the delivery company. Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional truck and work environment. Protect customer merchandise, customer property, company equipment, and the delivery company's reputation on every route. The contractor must be able to: Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, maneuver, load, and unload heavy merchandise. Safely use appropriate moving and delivery equipment when provided or required. Bend, reach, stand, walk, climb in and out of the truck, and remain physically active throughout the workday. Work safely and communicate effectively with a delivery partner when handling oversized or extremely heavy items.

Qualified applicants should:

Have experience safely operating a box truck or similar commercial delivery vehicle. Have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Be comfortable driving local routes and using GPS/navigation applications. Be able to read and accurately follow route manifests, delivery instructions, and customer information. Have a reliable working cell phone and be comfortable communicating directly with customers. Be dependable and punctual, with reliable Monday-Friday availability. Demonstrate good judgment, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a delivery team. Be able to follow instructions from the business owner and coordinate professionally with brokers and other delivery partners. Understand the importance of properly securing and protecting merchandise during transportation. Take pride in providing professional customer service and completing routes correctly. Be able to pass drug test, DOT physical, and background check.

Pay:
