Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. Seeking Qualified Residential Delivery Driver - for Delivering Purchased Furniture & Merchandise to Customers while Meeting Delivery & Quality Standards. Assembly, Heavy Lifting, Warehouse Organization Skills, Able to Navigate 20' Box Truck Safely through Neighborhoods, Assemble, Clean, Make Ready Furniture for Successful Transportation of Furniture. Saturdays are a MUST. Essential Responsibilities Maintain regular and predictable attendance . Self-Awareness of Appearance & Personal Hygiene, Ensure timely deliveries, meeting or exceeding scheduled delivery times. Operate and maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and delivery equipment. Ability to safely Load, unload, and organize products in a safe efficient manner. Ability to read, write & count accurately to complete all documentation. Self-Initiate/Prepare Safe Walk Areas Entering and Exiting Homes. Avoid Damage to Furniture, Walls, Doors Perform pre-trip & post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety & readiness of vehicle. Maintain an accurate record of deliveries and any issues that may arise. Communicate with customers as necessary, provide updates, address concerns during delivery process. Receive Customer Signatures & Payments Due on Delivery. Partner with store personnel to satisfy needs/questions of our customers. Handle returns, exchanges, or customer inquiries as needed, Follow all traffic laws & company policies to ensure safe driving practices. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, Saturdays a MUST. Requirements Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience operating box trucks. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently. Valid driver's license, clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
