Job Description

Overview We are a small farm and butcher shop that is seeking a reliable , skilled , and safe Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting beef carcasses safely and efficiently across various routes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle driving a 20' refrigerated box truck. This is a 1099 position that pays $200 per trip for a +/- 7 hour work day, one day a week.
Job Description:
This is a part-time job, one day a week - every Thursday (typically). You will be picking up and unloading 1/4 beef carcasses from slaughter plant to our butcher shop. Heavy lifting is a requirement of this position (100 lbs +) with the aid of winch, hooks, pulleys and cart. Driving Experience with a clean driving record is Must. Responsibilities Safely operate and drive various refrigerated box truck. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while minimizing delays. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in freight transportation. Ability to operate skid steer for loading and unloading purposes is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
